论文(一)
发表于A&HCI索引期刊Journal of Chinese Linguistics的论文“Tonal Adaptation of English Loanwords in Contemporary Mandarin” (Volume 45 (2), June 2017, Pages 423-450)。

【Abstract】
This study analyzes the tonal adaptation of a corpus of 340 English loans in Mandarin. I present evidence that only stressed/unstressed distinction is considered for disyllabic and monosyllabic loans. My principal finding is that the perceptual adaptation, stress-to-tone mapping is constrained primarily by tonal feature model of native phonology, while acoustic similarity plays a very limited role. Besides, other factors, such as vowel length of the donor language, and Mandarin Grammar including tonal gaps derived from tonogenesis and even euphemism also account for the tonal assignment.
KEYWORDS: Loanword, Tonal adaptation, Stress-to-tone mapping, Vowel length

论文(二)
发表于SSCI索引期刊English Today的论文“Tracing the Heritage of Pidgin English in Mainland China: The Influences of Yangjingbang English on Contemporary Culture and Language in Shanghai” (Volume 33 (3), September 2017, Pages 46-53)。

【Abstract】
The most widely accepted origin of the word ‘Pidgin’ is that it is a Chinese pronunciation of the English word business (etymonline.com). Pidgin English in mainland China has another popular localized nickname, i.e. yangjingbang 洋泾浜 English, a trade jargon term often used in Shanghai. However, this popular Pidgin English has been played down in linguistic research in mainland China because of the assumption of colonial connotations (Jin, 2011). Although it did not thrive or even survive in mainland China, Pidgin English has influenced to no small degree both contemporary culture and language in Shanghai, as well as other Chinese varieties.
